La Honda Records is deeply saddened to hear the news of the passing of the Queen of Country Music and Kentucky icon, Loretta Lynn.  As a female co-owned Kentucky based label, we were heavily influenced by Mrs. Lynn's gumption, sass, and honesty both in her life and her song.  It would be impossible to put into words the impact she has had, and will continue to have, on generations of women in music and beyond.  Though we are grieving, we are thankful to have lived our days with Loretta on and by our side and we can't help but think what a celebration it must have been when she and Doo were together at last.  Our thoughts are with the entire Lynn family with hopes for comfort and peace.
